Mansfield Town manager Nigel Clough has singled out Huddersfield Town's Joe Taylor as the major threat his side must contain this weekend. The 23-year-old striker leads the League One scoring charts with five goals from his first five games of the season.
"I've seen his goals, he looks on fire," the Mansfield boss said. "He looks confident and every time he goes clear, he looks like he's going to score."
Taylor's prolific start has been central to Huddersfield's strong opening to the campaign. The Terriers sit second in the table with 12 points from six matches, remaining one of only two sides in the division yet to taste defeat.

The forward, who scored 15 times in the third tier last season split between Huddersfield and a loan spell at Wigan Athletic, has carried that momentum into the new term. His goals have helped Huddersfield net 10 times while conceding just four, giving them a healthy goal difference of plus six. Marcus Use, a midfielder Clough previously worked with at Burton Albion, has also chipped in with one goal this season after contributing seven goals and six assists last year.
Mansfield's home challenge
Saturday's game at the One Call Stadium presents a different challenge for the Stags, who sit 17th. They have lost all three of their away fixtures but have shown better form at home. "We've had two great performances at home and two great games as well," Clough noted. The sides last met just days ago, playing out a 0-0 draw on September 12th. That result extended Huddersfield's unbeaten run, which includes a 3-1 win at Doncaster where Jamie Spencer, Joseph Low and Lasse Sorensen were on target.
