Huddersfield Town striker Rhys Healey has left the club after a mutual agreement was reached to terminate his contract. The 31-year-old had a year left on his deal but made just 11 appearances for the Terriers last season. Healey joined Huddersfield Town in the 2024 winter transfer window but struggled with injuries and made just 11 appearances in the 2024-25 season. He scored five goals in 22 appearances across all competitions for the club. Healey's last outing for the club was in February 2025. The former Cardiff City and Watford forward had a fraught time at Huddersfield Town, chiefly due to a succession of frustrating injuries. He scored three goals in 11 games in the second half of the 2023-24 season but was restricted to just 11 appearances in the 2024-25 season. He found the net on two occasions. Healey signed for Huddersfield Town from Watford, having joined the Hertfordshire outfit from French side Toulouse in the summer of 2023. He scored twice in 14 appearances for the Hornets. While at Toulouse, Healey scored 34 league goals in his first two seasons and also won promotion to Ligue 1. The Manchester-born player did not feature for the club at all last season. His last outing for the club was in February 2025. In total, he scored five goals in 22 appearances across all competitions for Huddersfield Town. Huddersfield Town have also reached a mutual agreement with defender Sean Roughan to terminate his contract. Roughan, who made 150 appearances for Lincoln City, has joined Huddersfield Town on a three-year deal. The Irishman left Lincoln City last summer to join the Terriers. Lincoln City have reached the Championship for the first time since 1961 and claimed title silverware. Roughan remains delighted for everyone connected with his old club and is now focused on helping Huddersfield Town achieve promotion to the Championship.
