Huddersfield Town's away record is high on the list of things to fix for Terriers boss Martin Drury ahead of their first road trip of the season. The Yorkshire side visit Stadium MK for the first time in more than a decade on Saturday for their first away game of the season.

League standing: 1st in League One, 3 pts, 1W-0D-0L from 1 games, recent form W. Huddersfield Town finished ninth in the table last season, but their miserable away form, losing 12 of 23 on the road, was a significant bug-bear for the club and fans alike.

The Terriers launched their League One campaign with a comprehensive 3-0 win over AFC Wimbledon last time out, despite being reduced to ten-men midway through the first-half. But boss Drury knows heading to Milton Keynes will offer up a much different challenge.

"We have to have a good mentality," he said. "We go there with confidence, and the duty to represent the club as best they can. We've got a group who acknowledge they have to represent the club better than last season. Away form was stronger at the end of the season, but we know we're in for a really good test.

Huddersfield Town will face a newly promoted MK Dons side, who are eager to do it again this year. The Dons have signed good players in the summer, and boss Drury knows they'll be a big, strong, and powerful side.

"They're a threat from set-plays, they're a threat on the counter too," he said. "The staff and the players did really well last season to get promoted, and I'm sure they're eager to do it again this year."

"We've worked on that in training, and hopefully we can transfer that into the game against a really strong outfit," he said.

"We're confident, especially after a 3-0 win," said summer signing Ibane Bowat. "We know about MK Dons' threats, and we've worked hard on how we can neutralise and then hurt them. We trust the gaffer, he has a clear plan, and it's up to us to execute that on Saturday."
