Huddersfield Town have signed forward Ashley Fletcher on a two-year contract from Blackpool. Fletcher scored 32 goals in 98 appearances across his two seasons with the Seasiders, but he will join Huddersfield on 1 July when his current deal runs out. The 30-year-old had been in discussions with Blackpool, but the Yorkshire-born player becomes the Terriers' first signing of the summer. Huddersfield are set for a third season in League One after a disappointing ninth-placed finish last campaign. Fletcher's arrival is a boost for the Terriers, who are looking to improve their squad ahead of the new season. Martin Drury, the new head coach of Huddersfield Town, has expressed his confidence in Fletcher's abilities, saying, 'I've seen the way Ashley has impacted games over the last couple of seasons, and I'm confident that his qualities will suit how we'll play.'
